APSOCON 2022 was conducted at AIIMS Patna (7th-8th August).

The department of Paediatric Surgery of AIIMS Patna successfully hosted the 2025, 7th Annual Conference of Association of Pediatric Surgical Oncology from 2nd to 3rd August 2025. The event brought together more than 100 dedicated Pediatric Oncosurgeon, healthcare professionals, researchers, and students from across the country and beyond for an engaging exchange of

knowledge and ideas.

Highlights of the Conference: -

1) Scientific Sessions: The conference had a very exhaustive academic schedule for
presentation by many national and international faculties. For the first time ever, we had collaboration with 3 D systems and TATA technologies which gave an important insight into the role of 3 D printing in Pediatric Oncosurgery. The conference also had a separate session on Artificial Intelligence. Apart from focusing on common tumours, the scientific session also had discussions on rare tumours and ongoing controversies in the field of Pediatric Oncosurgery. Renowned national and international speakers delivered keynote addresses, shared clinical experiences, and presented research findings. The total number of presentations by the post graduate residents has exceeded a record no of more than 60. The scientific program was conducted in Hall ‘A’, Hall ‘B’ and Department of Medical Education. There were long oral papers, short oral papers and e posters. A quiz competition was also conducted in two rounds for the post graduates.

​2). Workshops: A preconference workshop was conducted for the first time in any APSOCON. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Shalini Mishra and Dr. Nitin G. Pai on 1st August 2025 on the insertion of PICC lines and Chemo port. 4 cases were part of this hands on workshop which had more than 40 attendees.

3) Research Presentations: Over 60 research papers and posters were presented, showcasing recent development in the field of Pediatric oncosurgery. The Best Paper and Best Poster awards were presented for outstanding papers in their respective.

4) Panel Discussions: Tumour Board was the highlight of the conference which was moderated by Dr Nitin Peters and had Dr. Sandeep Agarwala, Dr. Pritanjli Singh, Dr. Swaminathan K, Dr. Pranav and Dr. Shreekant as the panelists. The tumour board discussed 4 very challenging cases which were sent across the country.

5). Felicitation of fellowship of APSO: Fellowship of APSO was awarded to Dr. Archika Gupta, Dr. Sunita Singh and Dr. Soumitra Saha for their notable contribution to the fiel of Pediatric Oncosurgery.

6).Virtual access: All the sessions of the conference 2025 were transmitted live over Webex platform which was accessed by many Pediatric oncosurgeons who could not make it to conference physically.
8) GBM Meeting: A GBM meeting of the APSO with all the stake holders was done in which the progress of the past 1 year was discussed and the future plans were laid.
